Math Fact Practice

It is important that students be able to retrieve math fact information quickly.
Higher level mathematics depends heavily on their ability to do this.

There are several ways to achieve this speed:

  • relating known facts eg. 6+6=12 therefore 7+6=13
  • subtraction math ladder
  • magic nines
  • multiplication systems eg. time 4 is a double plus a double

The Math Facts worksheets are designed to teach addition and subtraction techniques.

The Math Practice worksheets are designed to reinforce these techniques:

  • Math Practice Intermediate for addition and subtraction.
  • Math Practice Advanced for multiplication and division.

Go to Math Skills for more information and teaching techniques.
