Paragraph Writing Rules

Paragraphs should be made up of at least five sentences.

  • an introduction sentence
  • three information sentences
  • a conclusion sentence

Tell them to give you a general first sentence.
eg., Panda bears are friendly-looking animals.
Ask the student to tell you three things about the subject.
eg., Pandas are black and white. They eat bamboo. Most pandas live in China.
Final they end with another general final sentence.
eg., I like Pandas.

Painless Paragraphs

This removes all the stress of writing paragraphs and definitely speeds the whole process up. Use this method for essays, as well. Treat each paragraph within the essay in a similar manner.

(Use the paid members only Teach All Kids Paragraph Writing Rules sheet for even better paragraphs. I have kept this secret to help support this site.)
