Graphs include:
- Bar graphs:
Bar graphs are graphs made with vertical or horizontal bars that represent certain values. Go to an exercise worksheet. - Histogram graphs:
Histogram graphs or histographs are a bar graph with no spaces between bars. - Line graphs:
Line graphs are plotted points on a graph that are joined by a line. - Pictograph graphs:
Pictographs are graphs that use picture symbols to represent either one item or to represent a number of items.
eg. a key will tell you if a flower picture represents just one flower, or if it represents 10 flowers. - Pie graphs:
Pie graphs or charts are circular graphs that are a way of showing percentages or fractions visually. eg. Like a pizza, if a pie graph is cut into eight pieces and one piece is highlighted, it represents 1/8 of a whole pizza. - Scatterplots graphs:
Scatterplots graphs are plotted points on a graph that are not joined by a line. Go to an exercise worksheet.
