Probability

Probabilities are the number of times events are likely to occur over the total number of possible events. Probabilities are always a fraction.

Permutations tell us the number of different ways a group of things can be arranged. The order of the things is important.
eg. 3 boys run a race.

Combinations are the number of ways to group objects. The order of the things is not important.
eg. 3 things for lunch.

See our Teaching Resources for Math for probability worksheets, lesson plans, etc.
